    Materials List

    • Coffee Menu 12x16 Stencil Set
    • Detail Brush Set (6pk)
    • Pre-painted wooden shelf (off-white)
    • Espresso brown acrylic paint
    • Burnt umber paint
    • White acrylic paint
    • Stencil sponges and brushes
    • Hooks for hanging cups
    • Optional: Cork or felt pads for coaster backing

    Step-by-Step Instructions

    1. Prep and Paint the Shelf

Start with a clean, off-white painted shelf or wooden box. Use espresso brown paint to brush along the edges, giving the entire piece a warm, cozy tone.

    2. Stencil the Coffee Cups

Position your coffee cup stencil along the front face of the box. Using a sponge and espresso paint, stencil in each cup label (like "flat white" or "caramel macchiato") evenly spaced across the shelf face.

    3. Add Coffee Beans and Details

Use the bean stencil from the set on the top board of the shelf. Layer espresso and burnt umber for dimension, and highlight with a bit of white paint for a soft 3D effect.

    4. Make the "Coffee" Text Pop

Stencil the word "coffee" in white. Let it dry, then slightly offset the stencil and layer darker brown paint to create a soft shadow effect that gives it extra depth.

    5. Final Touches

Dry brush the edges again with espresso for a distressed look. Use other stencil accents (like corners or icons) to decorate blank spaces.

    6. Install Hooks and Style

Add hooks beneath the shelf for hanging mugs. Store coasters, napkins, or small saucers in the box. Customize to match your space or gift theme.

    Helpful Tips

    • Offset your stencil layers for text to create a realistic drop shadow.
    • Offload your paint thoroughly to avoid bleed-under when stenciling.
    • Add a touch of burnt umber or white paint to create depth in coffee beans.
    • If using felt pads or cork for coasters, add glue for better hold.
