Happy holidays, friends! Cindy from Berry Jam Crafts joined us on the Essential Stencil page to share a cozy and creative project perfect for the season — the Christmas Eve Magic 18" round. This design captures the warmth of a starry winter night with shimmering silver lettering and soft snowy details. Let’s walk through how you can make your own!
Start by coating the surface of your 18" round board with English Navy paint. Apply a second coat for full, even coverage.
While the navy paint is still slightly damp, add white paint to the top portion of the board. Blend gently where the two colors meet to form a soft ombré effect—this will give the look of a bright, moonlit night sky.
Once the paint is completely dry, lightly sand the surface for a smooth, polished finish.
Position the Christmas Eve Magic Stencil on your board and tape it down securely. Use a stencil brush to fill in the snowman, trees, stars, snowflakes, and snowy ground with white paint.
For the lettering, first stencil with pewter gray as a base. Once dry, apply a second coat using metallic silver for that shimmering holiday touch. Carefully lift your stencil to reveal the full design.
Apply a bit more white paint along the bottom edge to form a full snowy ground effect. Blend softly to keep the scene natural and cohesive.
Using the snowflakes and stars from the stencil pack, randomly add them to the upper portion of the board for a magical, starry-night finish. Fill them in with white paint to complete the winter wonderland scene.
