Patriotic Watering Can

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Mix and Prepare Milk Paint

2. Paint Base Layer

Paint the wood board with Wood Wick Brown and let it dry completely.

3. Apply First Coat of Milk Paint

Add a thin layer of the mixed milk paint over the brown background.

4. Create the Crackle Effect

Once dry, lightly distress with a soft cloth. Then rub soft wax along the board’s edges to prep for a second coat.

5. Add Second Milk Paint Coat

Apply another coat of milk paint. Let it dry and gently sand to reveal crackle texture.

6. Seal Before Transfers

Brush on a coat of matte varnish and let it fully dry to protect the surface and prep for transfers.

7. Apply Floral Transfer
