✨🍀 Lucky Layers & Clover Fields: Emerald Clover Farms Truck Sign

St. Patrick’s Day projects are all about charm, texture, and just a touch of shimmer — and this festive sign checks every box. Created by Essential Stencil brand ambassador Melissa Bradshaw of Junk and Craft Treasures, this “Emerald Clover Farms” truck sign is a beautiful way to welcome spring while celebrating Irish-inspired style.

Using layered stencils, soft greens, and metallic gold accents, this project comes together easily and looks polished enough to display all season long.

    Materials Used:

    Step-by-Step Instructions

Start by painting an 18×12" oval board with white paint. Allow it to dry completely, then apply a second coat for a crisp, clean finish.

Once dry, lightly sand the board to smooth the surface. Wipe away any dust or residue.

Position the Emerald Clover Farms stencil on the board and secure it with tape. Using a stencil brush, fill in the words “Emerald Clover Farms” and the truck’s tires with black paint.

Fill the truck’s body with dark green paint. Allow it to dry, then apply a second coat for full coverage.

Using a lighter shade of green, paint the clovers within the truck design.

Lightly add metallic antique gold paint over the truck for a soft shimmer effect. Carefully lift the stencil and allow the design to dry.

Using the larger stencil from the Shamrock Pattern set, randomly add clovers across the board with the lighter green paint to create a clover field effect.

Finish by lightly brushing gold paint along the edges and across the surface for a rustic, vintage shimmer.

    Helpful Tips

    • Always offload paint before stenciling to prevent bleed.
    • Two light coats give cleaner results than one heavy coat.
    • Add gold gradually — a little shimmer goes a long way.
    • Light sanding can fix small bleeds or edges easily.
