Batch Create Beautiful Reversible Wood Signs ✨ Fast, Fun & Perfect for Selling! 🪵🎨

Hey friends! Melissa from Miller’s Rustic Sawmill shared such a smart and practical project—batch creating reversible signs—and it’s one of those techniques that just makes sense once you try it.

If you’re prepping for markets, building inventory, or making gifts in bulk, this method helps you create multiple pieces quickly while still keeping things unique and beautiful.

Let’s walk through how to create a cohesive set of reversible signs using just a few stencil designs.

Batch Creating Reversible Wood Signs

Materials:

Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1: Prep Your Boards

Start by prepping 6 wood blanks. Paint 4 in an off-white color and the remaining 2 in black. Make sure all surfaces are clean, smooth, and completely dry before moving on.

Step 2: Stencil the Front (Off-White Boards)

Position the “Love Like Jesus” stencil onto one of the off-white boards. Using a stencil brush, fill in the design with a dark neutral color. Repeat this step until all 4 boards are completed.

This is where batch creating shines—same design, multiple boards, done efficiently.

Step 3: Stencil the Front (Black Boards)

Take the 2 black wood blanks and position the “Do Everything in Love” stencil from the same pack. Fill in the design using white paint and a clean stencil brush. Allow all boards to dry completely.

Step 4: Flip + Add Variety to the Back

Once dry, flip the boards over to create reversible designs.

Position the “All Gave Some, Some Gave All” stencil onto two boards and fill in with deep blue paint.

On another two boards, use the “Thank You Veteran” stencil with the same deep blue paint.

For the final two boards, use the combat boots design and fill in with green paint for a subtle pop of variation.

Helpful Tips:
  • Offload your paint before stenciling to avoid bleed-through.
  • Use the same color palette to keep your set cohesive.
  • Batch your steps (paint all, then stencil all) to save time.
  • Flip your boards for double-sided designs—perfect for added value.

Final Reveal

This finished set is cohesive, versatile, and perfect for displaying together—or selling as a collection. Batch creating like this not only saves time, but helps you build a strong, professional-looking lineup of products.
