At Christmas, All Roads Lead Home Sign

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Apply a white base coat
Using a brush, coat your 12x10 board in white paint. Let dry and add a second coat for a more solid finish.

2. Add your truck transfer
Choose your favorite truck design and rub it onto the bottom center of the board using the transfer tool.

3. Stencil the words
Tape down the "At Christmas All Roads Lead Home" stencil above the transfer. Dab black paint lightly through the stencil.

4. Fill the bridges
Use a detail brush and a gentle dabbing motion to fill in the stencil bridges. This creates a hand-painted look.

5. Lightly sand
After the paint dries, lightly sand the surface to give it a soft, distressed look.

6. Add the brick background
Using the brick stencil and grey paint, lightly dab around the edges for a weathered faux brick effect. Vary pressure to create a more realistic look.

7. Final sand
Once your brick pattern dries, sand again gently to blend everything together.

Helpful Tips

  • Use a light touch when applying the brick stencil for a soft, faded effect.
  • Sand lightly to avoid removing too much paintβ€”just enough to get that vintage finish.
  • Burnish transfers slowly and evenly to ensure a clean release.

This nostalgic piece is the perfect way to kick off Christmas in July! Be sure to check out the full Christmas Collection for more seasonal stencils and rub-on transfers to start crafting now.
