Create a beautiful Christmas wreath with a meaningful touch using the September 2026 Stencil of the Month set. This 12-inch round project combines a classic cardinal, leafy greenery, berries, snowflakes, and the word “Joy” for a festive sign that feels warm and handmade.

Before you begin: Make sure your white-painted board is completely dry before applying any stencils.
Start with a 12-inch round board that has been pre-painted white. Make sure the surface is completely dry.
Grab the September 2026 Stencil of the Month Premium Set and position the wreath stencil in the center of the board.
Using a stencil brush, fill the wreath design with Woodwick paint. This warm brown shade gives the wreath a natural, woodsy foundation.
Carefully lift the stencil once you have finished painting.
Make sure your base coat is fully dry before stenciling. This helps prevent the stencil from lifting or smudging the background paint.
Next, use the snowflake designs from the same stencil set. Position a few snowflakes around the wreath for a soft winter accent.
Fill the snowflakes with Mist Blue paint, a soft pastel light blue. Keep the placement loose and varied to create a natural snowfall effect.
Vary the placement of your snowflakes. A mix of sizes and positions keeps the background from looking too uniform.
Select the “Joy” stencil from the September set and position it in the center of the wreath.
Fill the lettering with Woodwick paint. Carefully lift the stencil to reveal the finished word.
The warm brown lettering ties the center of the design back to the original wreath.
Now it’s time to build up the leafy wreath. Use the eucalyptus leaf stencil from the same set to create a leafy vine around the wreath.
Switch to a separate stencil brush and use dark green paint to fill in the leaves. Continue adding greenery until the wreath has a full, lush appearance.
Build the greenery gradually. Add leaves around the wreath instead of trying to fill everything at once. This makes it easier to keep the design balanced.
Bring in some festive color with the berry stencil. Position the berries throughout the leafy vine.
Using a mini stencil brush, fill the berries with bright red paint.
The red berries add small pops of color throughout the greenery and help tie the finished design together.
Position one of the cardinal stencils near the top of the wreath.
Use the same bright red paint to fill the cardinal. Carefully lift the stencil once the design is complete.
The cardinal gives this wreath its signature Christmas detail and adds a beautiful pop of red against the greenery.
Complete the wreath by positioning the ribbon stencil at the bottom center of the wreath.
Fill the ribbon with bright red paint to match the cardinal and berries.

The combination of warm brown, soft blue, deep green, and bright red gives this project a classic Christmas look while keeping the design simple enough to recreate at home.
