DIY Patriotic Canvas Wall Hanging

In this tutorial, she uses canvas roll and layered stencils from Essential Stencil to create a rustic wall hanging honoring the heroes who gave all. Canvas Wall Hanging Project

Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1: Position the Home of a Hero stencil near the bottom of your canvas to stencil just the flag element. Tape it down.

Step 2: Use Deep Midnight Blue on the left field of the flag and Deep Burgundy for the stripes.

Step 3: Add stars using a light ivory or buttermilk paint.

Step 4: Center the Patriotic Eagle stencil and tape it down. Use Deep Midnight Blue for the verse text.

Step 5: Paint the eagle in layers:

• White for the head
• Milk Chocolate for the body
• Black and gray detailing for the feathers
• Yellow for beak and talons
• Burnt Umber for feather details

Step 6: Highlight "LORD" and "EAGLES" using Prussian Blue for a final pop of color.

Step 7: Finish the piece by turning the top edge of the canvas under, inserting a dowel, and adding ribbon for a hanger.
