Framed Fall Gnome + Resin Gnome — Two Easy Fall Projects

Project 1 — Framed Fall Gnome

Materials

Step-by-step Instructions

  1. Prep the frame. Prime the plastic round frame with Bonding Boss to improve adhesion.

  1. Paint the frame. Apply orange (pumpkin spice) paint. One good coat is usually enough. Let dry.
  2. Paint the backing. Cut a rectangular piece of cardboard to fit the frame. Paint it white. Blow dry to speed curing and apply a second coat if needed.

  1. Insert the backing. Place the dried painted cardboard inside the frame and secure the back cover.

  1. Choose transfers. Cut the gnome and leaf designs from the Fall Forest Gnome Rub-on Transfer Set.
  2. Transfer. Place the design on the painted cardboard and burnish with the Essential Rub-On Transfer Tool.

  1. Final reveal. Your framed gnome is ready!

Project 2 — Resin & Gnome Framed Piece

Materials

Step-by-step Instructions

  1. Mix resin. Measure 20 ml Part A and 20 ml Part B. Stir at least one minute until well combined. Pour into mold and let cure.

  1. Prepare backing. Cut a piece of cardboard to match the mold size. Paint it white and let it dry.

  1. Paint the cured resin. Once cured, remove from mold and paint orange. Blow dry if needed.

  1. Transfer the gnome. Cut a gnome from the transfer pack and burnish onto the painted cardboard with the transfer tool.

  1. Attach mold to backing. Apply glue to the back of the resin piece and secure to painted cardboard.

  1. Final reveal. Your resin & gnome framed piece is complete!
