Materials

Step 1: Prepare the Wooden Crate

Start by preparing your wooden crate box. Make sure it is clean, dry, and free of dust before applying any designs. This helps ensure your transfers and paint adhere smoothly.

Helpful Tip: Wipe your surface with a lint-free cloth right before starting for the best adhesion results.

Step 2: Apply the Vintage Truck Transfer

Cut out the vintage truck design from the 4th of July Celebration set. Position it along the bottom of the crate, making sure it is aligned before pressing it down.

Use the Essential Rub-On Transfer Tool to burnish the design firmly. Work side to side to ensure every detail transfers smoothly.

Helpful Tip: Go slowly when peeling back the transfer sheet to avoid lifting any delicate details.

Step 3: Add β€œGod Bless America” Stencil

Place your May 2026 Stencil of the Month at the top of the crate. Tape it down securely so it doesn’t shift while painting.

Using a stencil brush from the Stencil Brush Set, apply white paint using a light dabbing motion. Rememberβ€”less paint gives you cleaner, sharper lines.

Helpful Tip: Offload excess paint before applying. This prevents bleeding under the stencil.

Final Reveal

The finished wooden crate is a beautiful blend of rustic charm and patriotic style. Perfect for filling with florals like hydrangeas or displaying on your porch for summer gatherings.
