Hi friends! πΈ
Todayβs project is all about soft, simple spring vibesβand Iβm so excited to share it with you. Inspired by Sharon Hankins of I Restore Stuff, this wooden sign combines delicate color, meaningful words, and vintage-inspired details for a piece that feels fresh and timeless.
If you love subtle finishes, layered textures, and projects that let you get creative with placement, this one is for you!

Start by lightly applying a soft pink paint onto your wooden board. Use a damp cloth to blend it out into a sheer wash.
This technique lets the wood grain show through while adding just a hint of colorβperfect for that soft spring look.
Allow it to dry completely before moving on.

Choose 4β5 words from your stencil set and lay them out across the board until you like the spacing.
Using a stencil brush and white paint, gently fill in each word.
Tip: Use light, dabbing motions to prevent paint bleed and keep your lettering crisp.
Let the paint dry fully before adding transfers.

Cut out your favorite elements from the transfer setβflorals, stamps, or vintage accents all work beautifully.
Arrange them around your words, keeping the design balanced and not too crowded.
Use your transfer tool to firmly burnish each design onto the surface.
Less is more hereβleaving space helps each detail stand out.

Once everything is dry, lightly sand the surface.
This softens the look and gives your sign a slightly aged, rustic finish.
Focus on edges and high spots for a natural, worn-in effect.

This piece turned out so soft and beautifulβperfect for spring decorating!
The combination of muted pink, delicate wording, and vintage details creates a design that feels both fresh and timeless.
