    Materials Needed:

    Step-by-Step Instructions

    Step 1: Divide the Board
Lay two strips of painter’s tape across your 16” round board to divide it into three equal sections.

Step 2: Paint the Top and Bottom Sections
Using a sponge brush, paint the top and bottom sections with an off-white or beige paint. Apply a second coat if needed and allow the paint to dry completely.

Step 3: Add the Shamrock Pattern
Once dry, position the Shamrock Pattern stencil over the top and bottom sections. Using a stencil brush and green paint, fill in the shamrocks. Let the paint dry, then carefully remove the tape.

Step 4: Paint the Middle Section
Reapply tape along the edges of the painted sections to protect them. Paint the center section with green paint, adding a second coat for a richer finish if desired.

    Step 5: Stencil the Design
Once the board is completely dry, center the “A Hundred Thousand Welcomes” stencil in the middle section. Use black paint to fill the lettering. Remove the stencil and allow it to dry.

Step 6: Create the Shadow Effect
Reposition the stencil slightly lower to create a shadow effect. Fill only the words “Céad Míle Fáilte” using off-white paint.

    Helpful Tips:
    • Offload your paint before stenciling to avoid bleed-through.
    • Use light pressure and circular motions for crisp edges.
    • Let each layer dry fully before taping or repositioning stencils.
    • The shadow effect adds depth without overpowering the design.
