Materials Used

Pumpkin on the Seat

The seat of the chair got a cozy pumpkin makeover using the Sweet October stencil.

Instructions

1. Clean and dry your chair thoroughly.
2. Tape the pumpkin stencil on the seat corner.
3. Apply two coats of buttermilk paint with a stencil brush.
4. Paint the leaves in green and accent with copper metallic paint.
5. Highlight pumpkin lines using metallic espresso with a detail brush for a subtle shadow.
6. Add a mix of green and brown below the pumpkin to “ground” it visually.

“Fall Sweet Fall” Backrest

The chair backrest features a simple seasonal message to tie the look together.

Instructions

1. Tape the “Fall Sweet Fall” stencil on the backrest.
2. Use ivory paint and apply two coats for bold visibility.

Maple Leaves Finishing Touch

To complete the look, Tammy added fall-colored leaves using the Maple Autumn Greetings stencil.

Instructions

1. Stencil leaves around the chair with a base coat of ivory.
2. Using a sponge, dab on layers of yellow, gold, orange, red, and green paint for that fall foliage look.
