Join Sharon Hankins of I Restore Stuff as she creates a peaceful and timeless Nativity Scene Sign using Essential Stencilβs Christmas restock collection. This beautiful piece captures the meaning of the season β perfect for your holiday home dΓ©cor or as a heartfelt handmade gift.
Start by staining a 12x16" board using a damp cloth and Midnight Blue paint to achieve a rich night sky effect. Leave about one-third of the bottom unpainted for the ground.

Use Elmwood paint as a natural stain for the lower third of your board, creating the ground beneath the nativity. Let both colors dry completely before moving on.

Center the Nativity Scene Stencil on the board. Using a stencil brush and white paint, carefully fill in the design. Apply a second coat if you prefer a more opaque finish.

Take βThe First Noelβ design from the 1-inch Christmas Words Stencil Pack and position it along the bottom. Stencil the words with the same white paint to tie the whole piece together.

Using the same Nativity stencil, randomly place and stencil a few stars in the top area of your board. This adds depth and sparkle to your night sky scene.

Reposition the stencil over the largest star, then lightly apply a second coat using metallic gold paint. This gives your piece a subtle shimmer and makes that guiding star stand out beautifully.

This Nativity Scene Sign perfectly captures the quiet beauty of Christmas night. The rich stained background and gold-touched star make it an elegant statement piece for your holiday dΓ©cor.
