    Materials Needed

    Step 1: Create the Background

Start by applying light blue, white, and pink paint onto your board. Lightly blend the colors together using a soft, smeared technique to create a smooth, dreamy background. Allow the paint to dry completely.

    Step 2: Apply the Stencil

Once the background is fully dry, position the St. Patrick’s Day Proverb stencil onto the board. Secure it with tape to keep it in place for painting.

Step 3: Add the Rainbow Colors

Using a small sponge, apply light green paint to the first rainbow line, yellow to the second line, and pink to the last line. Tap lightly and layer colors to achieve a soft pastel look.

Step 4: Fill in the Letters

Use a stencil brush to fill in the words with dark green paint. Apply a second coat if needed for fuller coverage. This gives the proverb bold, crisp lettering.

    Step 5: Finish the Edges

Lightly dry brush the same dark green paint around the edges of the stencil area to create a soft, rustic border. Add more paint if you prefer a bolder effect. Allow to dry completely, then carefully remove the stencil.

Step 6: Add the Pot of Gold Transfer

Cut out the pot of gold design from the Luck of the Irish Rub-on Transfer pack. Position it in the corner of the board and burnish it firmly using the transfer tool to adhere the design.

    Step 7: Paint the Grass

Lightly paint green underneath the transfer to give the appearance of grassy ground. Use a soft touch to maintain a natural look.

    Step 8: Final Touches

Brush dark green paint around the edges of the board for a blended, finished look. Let everything dry completely. Your St. Patrick’s Day sign is ready to display!
