Hi friends! Today we’re crafting a festive Christmas round with the always-creative Sharon Hankins of I Restore Stuff. This sweet Santa “peeking chimney” sign is made with a mix of stencils, rub-on transfers, and simple paint techniques — perfect for doors, mantels, or holiday displays.
Start with a clean, fully dry 16” wood round painted in crisp white.
Run painter’s tape across the middle. Paint the bottom red using Fusion’s Cranberry. Blow dry, then apply a second coat for bold coverage.
Once dry, remove the tape. Use a ruler as a guide and lightly dry-brush black paint to create a soft shadow where the two colors meet.
Cut out your Santa from the Jolly Saint Nick Transfer Set. Position him so his hands peek over the “chimney.” Burnish until fully adhered.
Use a ruler and Mini Brush Set to dry-brush thin black lines across the red section, creating oversized vintage bricks.
Grab the “Merry Christmas” layer from the Santa & Rudolph Greetings Stencil Set. Stencil in white using a swirling motion and very little paint.
Cut two holly branches from the Cozy Winter Cuddles Transfer Set. Place one on each side of Santa for a balanced, festive finish.
