🧰 Materials

🎨 Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Create the lace base design

Start by placing the lace pattern stencil from the There’s No Place Like Home set onto the bottom section of your 16" round board, which should already be painted white.

Applying lace stencil on round board

Using a stencil brush, apply soft pink paint over the design, working gently to keep the details crisp. Let it dry completely before moving on.

2. Add the clock numbers

Once the lace pattern is dry, position the numbered clock stencils evenly around the round board. Make sure everything is properly aligned before painting.

Stenciling clock numbers on round board

Using a clean stencil brush and black paint, fill in each number carefully. Allow the paint to dry completely before handling.

3. Assemble the clock mechanism

Take your clock mechanism and carefully insert it through the center of the board according to the package instructions. Secure all parts so the clock functions properly.

💡 Helpful Tips

  • Always offload your brush before stenciling to prevent paint bleed.
  • Secure stencil placement with tape to avoid shifting.
  • Work in light layers for crisp, clean stencil edges.
  • Allow each layer to fully dry before adding the next step.

This clock is a perfect example of how stencil layering can transform simple materials into high-end home décor. Even during a busy move, creativity still finds its way into the home.
