Hey hey friends! 💕 Melissa from Junk and Craft Treasures created this sweetest spring bunny boards using rub-on transfers and stencils. If you love a good two-for-one project, you’re going to adore this one!
We’re making two coordinating bunny signs — one soft pink and one muted mint — using the same supplies but with totally different vibes. It’s amazing how much color alone can transform a project.
Let’s jump in!

Start with a 12x7" chunky wood board and apply a coat of pale pink chalk paint. Allow it to dry completely.

Once fully dry, lightly sand the board to create a smooth surface. Be sure to wipe away all dust and residue with a shop towel so your transfer adheres properly.

Cut out the girl bunny design from the Bunny Portraits transfer pack. Position it on the board and burnish carefully using your transfer tool.
Take your time and burnish firmly, especially if your board has grooves or texture. Slow and steady prevents wrinkles and lifting.

Choose a damask pattern and position it along the edge of the board. Using a stencil brush, fill it in with white paint. Repeat around the edges to create a soft border.

Lightly dry brush white paint along the edges of the board for a soft, rustic finish. Set aside to dry.

Apply a coat of muted green chalk paint and allow it to dry completely.

Lightly sand the dried surface and remove any dust.

Position the boy bunny onto the board and burnish carefully with your transfer tool.
Work slowly over any indentations in the wood. Firm pressure ensures clean adhesion.

Using the same damask stencil, position it in the corner of the board. Fill in with white paint and repeat the pattern to form a coordinating border.

Lightly brush white paint along the edges to give it that charming rustic look.

Two bunny boards. Same supplies. Completely different vibes — just by changing the background color!
