    Step-by-Step Instructions

    1. Position & Tape

Center the Ghostly Greetings stencil on a 16ā€ round. Use painter’s tape across the top and bottom edges to create dividers for your background paint.

    2. Paint the Background

Mix a little water with brown paint and brush it across the top section. Blow dry, then apply a second coat for depth.

Remove the tape and shift it upward. Paint the middle with watered-down plum purple and dry.

Next, remove the bottom tape and move it upward. Paint the bottom with orange.

Once dry, rub wood stain over the orange with a clean towel. Spritz water and wipe back to tone down brightness for a rustic look.

    3. Stencil the Ghost

Remove tape. Position the ghost stencil at the top and swirl white paint in circular motions. Apply two coats for a bold, even finish.

    4. Add Stars & Ghost Face

Stencil stars with mustard yellow. Then, use the ghost face stencil and fill with black paint.

    5. Add the Lettering & Details

Center the Ghostly Greetings word stencil and fill with white paint. Then add the bat stencil: moons in white, bats in black, and stars in mustard yellow.

    6. Finish

Let dry completely, then lightly sand for a smooth, rustic finish.
