Our talented Essential Stencil Ambassador Renee joined us for Friday Night Live to share a beautiful and functional DIY — a Transfer & Stenciled Coaster that’s perfect for gifting or adding a touch of style to your own home. This project combines the charm of floral rub-on transfers with the elegance of the Mediterranean Tile Stencil to create a one-of-a-kind piece you’ll love.

Materials Needed

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Prep & Paint

Start with a clean, pre‑sanded 5" coaster. Using a wet wipe, apply white paint evenly to stain the surface. Make sure it’s completely covered.

Once dry, sand lightly for a smoother finish and wipe away any dust.

2. Add a Stenciled Background

Pick a background design from the Mediterranean Tiles Stencil pack. Paint it with periwinkle blue for a subtle, elegant base.

Let it dry completely, then sand lightly once more.

3. Apply the Transfer

Choose your favorite floral pattern from the Chinoiserie Vase & Flower Rub-on Transfer Set. Burnish it onto the coaster using the Rub-On Transfer Tool.

4. Seal & Protect

Brush on a clear gloss water‑based sealer over the top of the transfer and along the coaster edges. This will protect your design and add a gorgeous sheen.
