DIY HOME Lace Canvas Sign

Step 1: Paint the Canvas Base

Start by painting your 8x8 canvas with white paint. Apply a second coat for full coverage and allow it to dry completely before stenciling.

A smooth, fully dry base is key to crisp stencil results.

Step 2: Create the Lace Background

Place the smaller lace border from the Fleur de Lace Pattern Stencil in one corner of the canvas.

Mix muted green with a small amount of white to keep the color soft. Using a light pouncing motion and very little paint on your brush, stencil the lace design.

Less paint is better. A dry brush technique prevents bleed and keeps the lace effect delicate.

Repeat on the opposite corner to create a balanced border.

Step 3: Add the HOME Lettering

Measure the center of your canvas to ensure even spacing. Position the letters H, O, M, and E from the 3" Typewriter Font Alphabet Stencil Set.

Fill the letters using grey paint, or mix a deeper tone by adding a tiny amount of black to your green base color.
