    Step-by-Step Instructions

    Step 1: Prepare the Board

Start with a 12x16" wood board that has been pre-painted in white and is completely dry.

    Step 2: Outline the Tree

Secure the stencil on the board. Using a stencil brush, lightly paint the tree branches with brown paint to create a guide for your leaves.

Step 5: Add Depth & Bark Texture

Use a mini stencil brush to add another layer of brown on the branches. Randomly pounce darker brown across the trunk for a bark effect.

    Helpful Tips

    • Always offload your brush before stenciling to avoid bleeding under the stencil.
    • Use a blow dryer to speed up drying between layers.
    • Patching plaster adds beautiful dimension—be sure to clean your stencil immediately after use.
    • Mixing cream and brown creates a soft fur effect for critters.
