Start with a 12x16" wood board that has been pre-painted in white and is completely dry.
Secure the stencil on the board. Using a stencil brush, lightly paint the tree branches with brown paint to create a guide for your leaves.
With a flat brush, dab both light and dark green paint along the branch outlines to create leafy textures. Let dry fully.
Reposition the stencil and paint the tree trunk with brown paint. Apply a second coat for durability.
Use a mini stencil brush to add another layer of brown on the branches. Randomly pounce darker brown across the trunk for a bark effect.
Paint the ground with green to create grass, then add small yellow flower details for charm.
Place the “Home is Where the Heart is” stencil inside the trunk and fill with cream paint.
Use patching plaster over the swing design for a raised 3D effect. Lift carefully, then blow dry until firm.
Paint the swing bench in brown and cream tones for a wood effect. Use light brown for the ropes.
Stencil in squirrels and butterflies to bring the scene to life. Mix cream and brown for the squirrels, and use orange, yellow, and cream for butterflies.
