Hi friends! 🌸
Sharon Hankins from I Restore Stuff is back with the March 2026 Stencil of the Month Club — and this one is full of bright, cheerful summer vibes!
In this tutorial, Sharon created two adorable seasonal pieces using the March 2026 Stencil of the Month:
Let’s jump into both projects!
Start with your board pre-painted in off-white. Make sure the surface is clean and completely dry before stenciling.
Position the polka dot stencil from the Premium Set onto the board. Using a stencil brush, fill the dots with light grey paint. Repeat until the entire board is covered. Let dry.
Center the Slice of Summer stencil on your board and tape it down securely.
Using a clean stencil brush, fill the watermelon flesh using bright pink paint. Allow to dry, then apply a second coat for full coverage.
With another stencil brush, fill in the watermelon rind using bright green paint. Apply a second coat for a bold finish.
Stencil the wording and ants using black paint. Let dry, then apply a second coat for a crisp look.
Position the seed stencil inside the watermelon and stencil using black paint.
The layered stencil makes it incredibly easy to get crisp, two-tone details with dimension.
Start with a clean, dry chunky wood board painted off-white.
Position the Sweet Summertime stencil from the Basic Set onto the board.
Fill in the popsicle and flowers using bright pink paint.
Using a dome brush, fill the popsicle stick with bright green paint.
Stencil the wording using black paint. Apply a second coat for fuller coverage.
Once dry, align the seed layer stencil. Fill the seeds with black and add white paint for the lace detail accents.
Domed brushes are fantastic for tight areas and small details.
If you join now, you'll receive this March set mid-month.
