Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Start with a thrifted or store-bought wood sign. Sand back any previous designs to create a smooth base.
  2. Apply a coat of Fusion’s Transition paint to neutralize dark patterns or wood tones.
  3. Once dry, go over it with Fusion’s Casement white. Two coats should give you a solid finish.
  4. Tape down the "You Left Paw Prints on My Heart" stencil and use black paint to stencil your design.
  5. Use the paw print element from the Paw Home Sweet Home stencil to create a border around the sign.
  6. For a final touch, dry brush a soft shadow border around the edge using a piece of cardstock.
