Vintage Truck Charm Meets Patriotic Style ❤️💙

Hey friends! Melissa from Junk & Craft Treasures here will be sharing one of her favorite patriotic projects using the brand new transfers. If you love a classic red, white, and blue look with a little vintage charm, this patriotic truck sign is for you!

This project is simple to recreate but full of personality—from layered transfers to soft stencil blending and metallic star details. Let’s jump in!

Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1: Prep Your Surface
Begin by painting an 18" oval board with white paint. Allow it to dry, then apply a second coat for full, even coverage.

Once completely dry, lightly sand the surface to create a smooth finish.

Step 2: Apply the Truck Transfer
Cut out the large truck design and carefully place it in the center of your board. Burnish using your transfer tool, working in a circular motion to ensure every detail adheres properly.

Step 3: Add the Statement Phrase
Position the “With liberty and justice for all” stencil above the truck. Using a mini stencil brush, apply blue paint to the top portion of the phrase.

Switch to a clean brush and fill in the remaining words with red paint for a two-tone effect. Apply a second coat if needed.

Step 4: Add “1776” Detail
Place the “1776” stencil just below the truck and fill it in with blue paint.

Step 5: Add Fireworks
Cut out two firework designs and burnish them near the top of the board for added movement and festive detail.

Step 6: Finish with Metallic Stars
Using the star stencil, randomly place stars across the board. Fill them in with bronze metallic paint for a unique pop of color.
