Hey friends! π
If you love adding a handmade, meaningful touch to your seasonal decor, this patriotic round board is such a fun project to try. Tammy from Cheers to Creativity walks through how to layer stencils and transfers to create a piece full of depth, texture, and classic red, white, and blue style.
This project is beginner-friendly but still has those extra details that make it feel elevatedβlike soft blending, metallic accents, and a beautiful floral finish.
Created by Tammy Muto of Cheers to Creativity

Start with your pre-painted round boardβhalf light ivory and half deep blue. Lightly sand the surface to smooth out any grain, then wipe it clean.
This step helps your stencil lines stay crisp and your paint blend evenly.

Mix a small amount of deep blue and ivory paint. Using a light hand, softly streak across the blue section to create subtle depth.
This step is optionalβbut it adds a beautiful layered look that makes the design stand out.

Secure the star stencil from the God Bless America set onto the blue section. Using a sponge, lightly apply white and silver metallic paint in random areas.
Be sure to offload your paint well to avoid bleed and keep the stars soft and subtle.

Repeat this step on the ivory side to keep the design cohesive.

Position the βGod Bless Americaβ stencil toward the top of your board.
Using a stencil brush, fill in βGod Blessβ and the top of βAmericaβ with deep blue paint.

Then use a mini stencil brush to fill the bottom of βAmericaβ with red, blending white into the center for a soft gradient.
Work in light layers and build color gradually for the cleanest blend.

Cut out your floral design and place it along the bottom of the board. Use your transfer tool to burnish from the center outward until fully adhered.
Take your time hereβthis ensures all the fine details transfer cleanly.

This finished piece is a perfect blend of bold and softβlayered stenciling, subtle metallic accents, and that floral detail really bring it all together.
If you love creating seasonal decor with stencils and transfers, this is a great project to customize with your own color variations and layouts.
