Hey friends! Melissa here from Junk and Craft Treasures, got such a fun Friday night project to share with you π
If you love versatile decor, this oneβs for you. Weβre creating a double-sided carrot-shaped wood sign using both stencils and rub-on transfersβso you get two adorable looks in one piece!
One side features a sweet Cottontail Company design, and the other has a playful carrot pattern background. Itβs the perfect way to stretch your supplies and think a little outside the box!

Start by painting both sides of your wood block with white paint. Let it dry completely before moving on.

Paint both sides of your wooden bunny ears as well and set aside to dry.

Once dry, lightly sand the surface for a smooth, even finish.

Cut out your bunny from the transfer set and position it toward the bottom of the block. Burnish it in using your transfer tool.

Place the Cottontail stencil above the bunny and fill it in using brown paint.

Lightly go back over the bunny with white paint to soften the look and create dimension while still letting the design show through.

Flip your block and apply another bunny transfer to the bottom of the opposite side.

Use the carrot pattern stencil to fill in the background with orange and green paint.

Remember: less paint is more! Offload your brush and vary your pressure to create lighter and darker tones for a more natural look.
Attach the bunny ears to the top of your block using adhesive.

Add a messy bow, greenery, and a button center for that finished look.
