Fall is the perfect season to add warm, welcoming touches to your home dΓ©cor. This painted wood door tag features an adorable copper squirrel, colorful autumn accents, and a beautiful seasonal sentiment. Using a few paint colors and our mini stencil brushes makes creating this layered design simpleβeven with multiple colors.
Position the stencil toward the lower portion of the wood door tag and tape off the wording section. Using a mini stencil brush, stencil the squirrel with metallic copper paint using light pouncing motions. Don't worry if a little paint overlaps into the acornβyou'll cover it later.
Without moving the stencil, fill the tree stump using chocolate brown paint. Continue using gentle dabbing motions for smooth, even coverage.
Lightly dip the brush into black paint and blend it into portions of the tree stump for added depth. Use this darker shade to stencil all of the acorns for a natural look.
Switch to a clean mini stencil brush and fill the mushrooms with a rich deep red for a beautiful pop of autumn color.
Stencil the leaves with green paint first, then lightly brush gold over the top for a subtle shimmer. Allow the paint to dry before lifting the stencil to reveal the colorful design.
Because the full phrase won't fit all at once, stencil it in three sections.
Start with Gather.
Next, position and stencil To.
Finish by aligning A Time at the top to complete the phrase.
Bring cozy fall charm to your front door with the A Time to Gather Stencil. Pair it with the Mini Stencil Brush Set to make painting multiple colors simple and achieve crisp, professional-looking results. Happy crafting!
